This is the second foreign market – after Romania – where PragmaGO Group will develop financial services for SMEs. As a first step, entrepreneurs in Spain will gain access to PragmaCash, or Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) financing. PragmaGO is currently in the process of implementing this service with partners such as Qonto. PragmaGO Spain, S.L. is registered in Barcelona – one of the largest business and financial hubs in Spain. The group hopes to repeat its success from Poland, as the Spanish market shares many similarities with its home market. About 3.2 million companies operate there, of which nearly 99% are micro, small and medium-sized companies[1].
As in Poland, a financing gap is evident in the SME segment in Spain, with banks’ offerings focused primarily on consumer products. As a result, smaller companies have limited access to ongoing operational financing. Solutions in the embedded lending model – such as PragmaCash – make it possible to effectively fill this gap and realistically support the growth of companies. In Poland, companies using the MCA financing offered by PragmaGO record revenue growth of up to 36% year-on-year.
PragmaPay stimulates small businesses to grow and acts as a financial cushion. It allows you to catch market opportunities, increase your margin and not give up on orders just because you are temporarily short of startup cash. It’s transparent financing – the contract is simple and the costs for the buyer are fixed, transparent and independent of interest rate changes. Through our partnership with Shoper, we are fulfilling our mission – to level the playing field in access to capital for micro and small businesses. PragmaPay gives benefits to both sides of the transaction – both the buyer and seller on the Shoper platform gain
We carefully analyze all European markets and select those where we observe limited access to financing in the SME sector. We act prudently and in stages to best understand the local needs of entrepreneurs. We want to be close to our clients and the realities in which they operate. Having a local presence increases trust in our services, allows us to tailor our offerings to local customs, and fosters long-term relationships with embedded finance partners. In Poland, we are the market leader and work with key brands serving the SME sector. We want to repeat this success consistently in more countries
– says Tomasz Boduszek, CEO of PragmaGO.
PragmaCash is financing available in a partner environment – for example, the customer panel of a payment terminal operator. After logging in, the entrepreneur sees the amount he can withdraw and use for any business purpose. He then fills out a short online form and receives a financing decision in up to 90 seconds. Repayment can be made automatically as a daily percentage of turnover with the partner.
PragmaGO is one of the largest non-bank SME financing providers in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), known for its innovative technological solutions with a high UX standard. PragmaGO began its international expansion in 2024 with the Romanian market through the acquisition of TELECREDIT IFN (operating under the Omnicredit brand).
